Janet Groene’s Black Forest Dessert 

Sail into compliments on angel wings with this devilishly easy dessert. Make it ahead to keep in the reefer up to two days. It can also be assembled, layer by layer, in clear plastic glasses, parfait style.

1 packet instant chocolate pudding
Scant 2 cups cold milk
1 cup sour cream (8-ounce carton)
1 small angel food cake
1 can of cherry pie filling
About 8 Oreo cookies, cut up

In a bowl whisk instant pudding per package directions. When it begins to set, whisk in sour cream. Tear cake into bits and fold into pudding mixture. Fold in pie filling and cookies. Chill.
