It will run from 9 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 10 at 24 designated cleanup sites across Broward County. About 2,000 volunteers usually take part in the project, working along the canals or from boats. The newly resurrected Trash Bash celebration (for volunteers only) will follow the clean up at The Downtowner Saloon on the New River in Fort Lauderdale with live music, speakers and prizes.

DANIA BEACH MARINE FLEA MARKET is set for March 15 - 18th at Dania Jai Alai. Hours are from 9 AM 'til 6 PM Thursday thru Saturday, 9 AM 'til 4 PM on Sunday. Lots of parking, and it's free. Visit for more information.

We questioned a recent description of the event that said:  " The Original is Still the Best" and learned that the first Dania Marine Flea Market was staged 34 years ago! A few of us here remember that one, and we know that it was before Dania became Dania Beach. Dickering and dealing are still part of the fun.

Makes you wonder if any of the antiques at this flea market were sold "new" there 34 years ago!!!
