The bridge at Matlacha (where the powerline has been removed) is being replaced and the new under-construction opening schedule (as included in the new FCD on Chart 18) follows:

Palm Beach Show
The Palm Beach International Boat Show is set for March 24-27 with boats, seminars, IGFA fishing sessions and more. Thursday, March 24th opening time is noon; next three days opens at 10 AM. Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota
The relaunched, 29th Annual Suncoast Show takes place at Marina Jack, #2 Marina Plaza in Sarasota with hundreds of boats as well as marine electronics, products and accessories and more. Presented and managed by Show Management, the show opens on Friday through Sunday at 10AM each day. Admission is $8 for adults ($6 on-line) and kids under 15 FREE. VALVTECT PETROLEUM NAMES LONGBOAT KEY MOORINGS MARINA OF THE YEAR
Longboat Key Club Moorings in Longboat Key has been named ValvTect Marina of the Year. ValvTect produces specially-formulated fuels for marine engines to prevent fuel related problems from ethanol blended gasoline and low sulfur diesel fuels.
It recognizes one of its nearly 600 Certified Marinas in the U.S. and Caribbean each year based on customer service, environmental stewardship and commitment to the community. Longboat Key Club Moorings is also a Florida-designated Clean Marina offering resort amenities such as spa, tennis and fine dining.
Dennis Matthews, Director of Marina Operations, accepted the award presented by ValvTect's President, Jerry Nessenson and Regional Sales Manager, Paul Craufurd at the recent International Marina and Boatyard Conference in Fort Lauderdale.
History of Diving Museum
The not-for-profit museum, located at MM 83 Bayside in Islamorada (Phone: 305-664-9737) is open daily, 10AM-5PM and schedules the following: Sea Hunt, the original TV Series with Lloyd Bridges is shown every Saturday between 3 and 5 PM and a Comprehensive safe boating course under the instruction of a USCG Master Captain is presented FREE to Monroe County Students on the first Sunday of every month. (Donations are appreciated from all others.) Classes are scheduled from 10:30AM-12:30PM and prospective students should register by phone at 305-664-9737.
