REPEATING IN AUGUST: FLORIDA - ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY - WEST PALM BEACH TO MIAMI - JUPITER (Indiantown Road Bridge, SR 706)

Due to painting, the SR 706 Indiantown Road Bridge, mile 1006.2 operating schedule since June 20 follows:

Indiantown Road Bridge will be allowed to remain closed to navigation from  7:05AM to 10:55AM daily, seven days a week through August 30, 2011. Start date of another operation will be published in a future local notice to mariners re: 9:05PM to 5:55 AM nightly for a period of 30 days.

OKEECHOEBEE WATERWAY (SOUTH FORK) ST. LUCIE CANAL - INDIAN STREET BRIDGE. Bridge Construction.

Construction on Indian Street Bridge across the south fork of the St. Lucie Canal has started on a portion of the bridge that crosses the St. Lucie Lagoon. The contractor will provide additional information prior to starting the portion of the bridge that crosses the South Fork.

OKEECHOEBEE WATERWAY (SOUTH FORK) ST. LUCIE CANAL - OLD ROOSEVELT (DIXIE HWY.) BRIDGE. Bridge Repairs.

The bridge owner plans on painting the Old Roosevelt (Dixie Hwy.) bridge across the (South Fork) St. Lucie Canal Mile 7.5 Stuart. The CG will be working with the bridge owner.

REPEATING IN AUGUST: FLORIDA - AIW - WEST PALM BEACH TO MIAMI - WEST PALM BEACH - LAKE AVENUE (ROBERT HARRIS) BRIDGE. Bridge Painting. Bridge work will start on July 5. Due to painting, this bridge's operating schedule will be changed starting July 5 as follows: 7:05 AM to 10:55AM daily, seven days a week through December and 9:05 PM to 5:55AM nightly for a period of 30 days. Start date fort this portion of the operation has not been scheduled but will be published in a future LNM. At all other times the bridge will open on the hour at the top of the hour. Due to scaffolding, the vertical clearance will be reduced by three feet from July 5 through December.

GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY - SAN CARLOS BAY - MATLACHA PASS BRIDGE.

MATLACHA PASS BRIDGE construction continues as reported in the current FCD (Chart 18) and recent updates. The schedule is posted on the Lee County web site - http:www.matlachabridge.info where there are continual updates. The posted information has been approved by the Coast Guard Bridge Branch. Due to major construction activity at this bridge site mariners are reminded to be extremely careful when transiting through this area. The contractor may not be in the channel at all times during this restrictive period. Contact the bridge tender for passing information. Closures are being scheduled for August and then again in November/December. The dates of those closures will be published in future LNMs.
